All items have been hand-picked by the lady owner of VintagEija. No bulk ”vintage” shipped from abroad here. Most are bought from private persons in Finland while she has selected the American goodies along her own travels with the help of friends living in the States and, partly, via well-known sellers and contacts.

Every item is washed and cleaned in the manner best suited to the materials, and should a product still require further laundering, this has been mentioned in the description and acknowledged in the price. The items have also been repaired as far as possible, and repairs and other downsides are always mentioned in the product descriptions with a photo of the repairs in many cases. And if you are not satisfied with your purchase, a 14-day return policy applies (the return costs are, however, borne by the customer) with the exception of sock products, underwear, and such paper products that are easily copied as sewing patterns and magazines.

The products are not new. Instead, most of them are old and used (while part is deadstock vintage)! The clothes have been cared for (washed, steamed, and repaired as far as possible), but since some of them are really old (even close to 100 years), there is no way to magically restore them to mint condition. The bags and shoes have been repaired by a shoemaker if needed. Please read the product description with care since it does not only contain precise measurements but also describes condition. If an item has stains even after cleaning, has visible signs of repair, or is sold as a project, this is mentiond in the description. The aforementioned flaws are also shown in the last pictures of any item.
