Black button-up dress from the 30s-40s, M-L

 Charming black dress from the late 1930s to early 1940s with diagonal buttoning. The dress features a small V-neckline and a faux diagonal button placket with playful black-and-white buttons down to the waist seam. There are snaps under the button placket. The front panels overlap generously and fasten at the waist seam. The long sleeves are loose and taper into narrow cuffs at the wrists, beautifully gathered to create a blouson effect. The dress has a waist seam, and the skirt, made from panels, flares modestly towards the hem. Fit is enhanced by bust darts that run from the shoulders down tothe bust, as well as waist darts at the front and back, along with a few stitched pleats.
